Appointed 1st Corporal of Co. I, 2nd Regiment, 1st Brigade, Georgia State Troops on Oct. 12, 1861. Mustered out of service in April, 1862. Elected 4th Sergeant on May 5, 1862. Captured at Vicksburg, Miss. on July 4, 1863. Died on July 30, 1863. RCS 5-933.
